Spring Updates

Well, I see it's been a while since I've been on here again!!  I'm glad one of my friends reminds me to update this thing.

Royce built a lighthouse for the yard.  It's very nice.  At night it comes on and blinks like a regular lighthouse does.  Hope the neighbors don't mind.  He has another big project in mind, but hasn't started it yet..He's going to build a big Ferris wheel.  It will have seats on it and all and will turn.  He'll put figurines on it according to the season...  I can't wait til he gets started.  It will be very large.  Not sure where it will be stored!!!

I just finished one project for a gift and have started another. I will post pictures when I can.  I have some pictures of the lighthouse and some other paper crafts I've done..

We've had the garden planted for a little over 3 weeks now.  It's doing well.  Have also planted the pots on the deck.  Lots of flowers and pretty colors there.  It's just splashes of color.  We put four miniature roses around the light house.  Also planted some day lilies down the side of the property where the side road is.  I bought a Clematis today to plant and a friend gave us a butterfly bush to plant.  We will put that by the lighthouse which is in front of the shack.  I can enjoy the flowers and the butterflies when I'm in the shack... You all know I love my butterflies...

We're doing fine, health wise.  Royce had a bad cold last week and I had a bad bout of vertigo.  I had to get steroids to help with that.  I hate taking them, but when you can't keep your balance, there's not much choice in the matter...

That's about all the news here for now..  Just trying to stay busy and keep our minds occupied.  I love my shack and really work hard out there with crafts and lots of paper to play with.

Be blessed everyone!!!

Hello bloggers and friends and family

Royce was away this weekend to Tiffton, GA at a meeting for all city councilman and the mayor..So, needless to say I was in the shack...

We've been fine, just bearing the cloudy and much rainy weather.  We will survive as I know a lot of you in the midwest are suffering much worse weather than us...

Will try to keep you posted on new things happening.  We are planning our garden.

Oh and we had a Brother and Sister To Do doing a Valentine theme.  We had lots of good food, games, and lots of fun.  I will post some pictures in another post.  You saw some of the decor I made in the last post of the things I had made....

Be blessed and stay warm..C

Here we go again, not updating like I should.

I've been very busy in the Craft Shack lately.  Have gotten a lot of stuff done.  I want to share some things with all of you that I've done.
A lot of the Valentine stuff is for the Brother and Sister Valentines Party we're having next Friday on the 8th.  I can't wait.  It will be a lot of fun.....

So, again, here are some pictures..Most of this is for Valentines, others are birthday cards I made.  The tags are just something I wanted to do....
Enjoy and have a great month of February..

My Goodness!

I had no idea that it's been this long since I posted.  I need to catch everyone up.
Well, in October, Candace and my friend Sally all went to Spartanburg, SC to another scrapbook weekend.  We were a total of 14 I think.  Our whole group went .  We had a great time and everyone got a lot done.  We came home on Sunday late afternoon.
Then as the fall months progressed, I made all my Christmas cards early, made a bunch of tags and embellishments to go in the scrapbook for Christmas pictures.  I did quite a bit there.  Then I've made several gifts, paper crafting types.  I will try to remember to take a picture and post them.  I didn't want to post the pictures of the cards as you all will be receiving them.
We had a great time passing out Halloween candy.  WE had to have had close to 200 little beggars and goblins.  We took several pictures of the little darlings...
Royce had made several new wood decorations for the yard for Halloween and Christmas.  He cut out a witch on a broom, two ghost that are animated and a huge Dracula that is animated.  A lot of people stood their kids in front of the displays and took pictures of them... I was very pleased and Royce was very proud that they wanted to do that... I thought it was great.
For Christmas he has cute out a 6 foot snowman that is waving.  And he also cut out about a 5 foot polar bear.  Then there's the dancing Santa and the elf and reindeer that are animated as well.  So he's been very busy.....
Then of course we have gotten bronchitis and the flu, both at the same time and we're losing this week from being sick.  I just need to get the cards finished addressing and mailed and some more shopping to do..Hopefully we will start getting back on our feet the first of next week.  The Dr. said we'd be weak but more functional.  Praise the Lord!!!  We are truly better just from the shots we were given today.  And neither of us can sleep.  So we're both on the computers..
I will make it a point to post some pictures in the next few days and show some of Royce's handiwork.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Joyous holiday season...
Love you all.

Hello blog friends!

Well, it looks like I'm way behind on my blogging.  So sorry about that.  We've been pretty busy here.
Candace and I went on a scrapbooking retreat on the 5th of July.  We went to Flowery Branch, GA.  North of Atlanta.  We stayed in a beautiful home and just had a really good time.  We went to the big Scrapbook expo on Friday.  It was quite interesting and we spent way too much money.  LOL  We scrapped the rest of the time and left on Sunday morning.  Again, we had a great time.
Our garden is all gone for the season.  I don't know if we're going to plant a late garden or not, probably not.
Some of the other things we've done this summer is put up some new lights in the front of the house and Royce just put up one in front of the shack.  It looks really nice.  Really lights up the area all around.
We also started a compost pile and that's been very interesting.
I've been scrapping a lot and already started my cards for Fall and Christmas.  It's always fun to gather all you need for doing them.  I still have to get my whimsical card idea together.  Not sure where to start.
Health wise, we're doing just fine.  Royce has been doing very well as I have too.  We're really watching what we do and eat and trying to keep his sugar levels under control.
That's about all the news for now... I wish you all well and remember that Fall is almost here... I can't wait!!!
Be blessed everyone,
Love to all,
Cathy

Happy June almost July!!!

Wanted to share with you all some cards I made yesterday.  They were a lot of work.  But very fun to do.  The musical one is for my grandson's birthday next week.  Enjoy!
We're doing pretty good down here in S.E.  GA.  We're being silly old retirees.  Our garden is about done, although Royce re tilled it and planted the whole thing in yellow squash.  If it all blooms and does well we will enough to feed all of Oak Park, if not, then nothing lost.
We haven't any plans for the 4th, what are yours?
Candace and I are going on a retreat above Atlanta next week.  We'll be gone the 5th -8th.  We're both excited and really looking forward to it.
Again, hope your all doing well.  Take care and be blessed.
