My Goodness!

I had no idea that it's been this long since I posted.  I need to catch everyone up.
Well, in October, Candace and my friend Sally all went to Spartanburg, SC to another scrapbook weekend.  We were a total of 14 I think.  Our whole group went .  We had a great time and everyone got a lot done.  We came home on Sunday late afternoon.
Then as the fall months progressed, I made all my Christmas cards early, made a bunch of tags and embellishments to go in the scrapbook for Christmas pictures.  I did quite a bit there.  Then I've made several gifts, paper crafting types.  I will try to remember to take a picture and post them.  I didn't want to post the pictures of the cards as you all will be receiving them.
We had a great time passing out Halloween candy.  WE had to have had close to 200 little beggars and goblins.  We took several pictures of the little darlings...
Royce had made several new wood decorations for the yard for Halloween and Christmas.  He cut out a witch on a broom, two ghost that are animated and a huge Dracula that is animated.  A lot of people stood their kids in front of the displays and took pictures of them... I was very pleased and Royce was very proud that they wanted to do that... I thought it was great.
For Christmas he has cute out a 6 foot snowman that is waving.  And he also cut out about a 5 foot polar bear.  Then there's the dancing Santa and the elf and reindeer that are animated as well.  So he's been very busy.....
Then of course we have gotten bronchitis and the flu, both at the same time and we're losing this week from being sick.  I just need to get the cards finished addressing and mailed and some more shopping to do..Hopefully we will start getting back on our feet the first of next week.  The Dr. said we'd be weak but more functional.  Praise the Lord!!!  We are truly better just from the shots we were given today.  And neither of us can sleep.  So we're both on the computers..
I will make it a point to post some pictures in the next few days and show some of Royce's handiwork.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Joyous holiday season...
Love you all.

Hello blog friends!

Well, it looks like I'm way behind on my blogging.  So sorry about that.  We've been pretty busy here.
Candace and I went on a scrapbooking retreat on the 5th of July.  We went to Flowery Branch, GA.  North of Atlanta.  We stayed in a beautiful home and just had a really good time.  We went to the big Scrapbook expo on Friday.  It was quite interesting and we spent way too much money.  LOL  We scrapped the rest of the time and left on Sunday morning.  Again, we had a great time.
Our garden is all gone for the season.  I don't know if we're going to plant a late garden or not, probably not.
Some of the other things we've done this summer is put up some new lights in the front of the house and Royce just put up one in front of the shack.  It looks really nice.  Really lights up the area all around.
We also started a compost pile and that's been very interesting.
I've been scrapping a lot and already started my cards for Fall and Christmas.  It's always fun to gather all you need for doing them.  I still have to get my whimsical card idea together.  Not sure where to start.
Health wise, we're doing just fine.  Royce has been doing very well as I have too.  We're really watching what we do and eat and trying to keep his sugar levels under control.
That's about all the news for now... I wish you all well and remember that Fall is almost here... I can't wait!!!
Be blessed everyone,
Love to all,
Cathy

Happy June almost July!!!

Wanted to share with you all some cards I made yesterday.  They were a lot of work.  But very fun to do.  The musical one is for my grandson's birthday next week.  Enjoy!
We're doing pretty good down here in S.E.  GA.  We're being silly old retirees.  Our garden is about done, although Royce re tilled it and planted the whole thing in yellow squash.  If it all blooms and does well we will enough to feed all of Oak Park, if not, then nothing lost.
We haven't any plans for the 4th, what are yours?
Candace and I are going on a retreat above Atlanta next week.  We'll be gone the 5th -8th.  We're both excited and really looking forward to it.
Again, hope your all doing well.  Take care and be blessed.

Memorial Day and Shack

WElcome to the beginning of summer!  We went to Atlanta over the weekend and had a really nice time.  Seeing Sandy and kids is always fun...
Royce has decorated the shack with some lattice work and it looks really nice.  Also the sign he put over the cover for the porch.  I think you will enjoy this.  I have flower boxes on the front, but haven't put them in as yet..Will do that in the next few days and will repost the pictures of it.
Hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend.  Have a happy summer. c

Thought I'd better this blog updated.  Sorry it's beens o long.
We've been pretty busy, Royce has been repairing the house from the hail storm and most of that is done now...He just finished repairing the damage to the shack.  We have new roofs on the shack and the house.  They really look nice.  He put a roof over the deck part of the shack and it looks fantastic.  It looks like a little house.  He has made signs to put on the new roof part, it says The Craft Shack.  He will install them tomorrow and will post those pictures on the blog..
We both had some major dental work done, we had our teeth all pulled and had new dentures put in.  We're still in some pain and trying to get used to them.  They are totally different from partials and all that stuff.  We go next week for adjustments and such.  It's been a battle and we're trying hard.
Royce finished the Arc of the Covenant and it is in it's new home.  It looks absolutely beautiful.
I've been working in the shack, making cards and doing some home decor and some scrapbooking.  So, we've both been busy.
In July I go with Candace to a scrapbooking retreat.  We're both looking forward to that.  We will get to go to the big scrapbooking expo in Duluth.  We're already getting stuff ready to take.  Then we go again in October to Spartanburg, SC for another one.. I went about 3 weeks ago with Sally to that one and it is just awesome.  They have a wonderfully big store to buy in and I had a ball.
Hope all you Mom's have a wonderful Mother's Day.  I wish you all all the happiness you have coming to you.
Be blessed and enjoy the pictures of the deck and garden.  We've been pulling squash and zucchini and banana peppers from there already.  They are so yummy.  Already harvested all the lettuce, it's really good.
Again, be blessed everyone.
